Chocolate and mixed seed energy balls

These energy balls make a great pre or post workout snack and will provide the body with long sustained energy to fuel performance.

Ingredients
 

  • 180 g oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp mixed seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried fruit
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 5 squares dark chocolate (minimum 70%) chopped

Melted chocolate

  • 4 squares dark chocolate (minimum 70%) melted

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients into a large bowl. Mix well with a spoon until well combined.
  • With clean hands, roll into 10 balls and place on a plate.
  • Place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, remove the energy balls from the freezer and melt the 4 squares of dark chocolate in the microwave. (do this in 30 second intervals until fully melted) Once melted, spoon over the energy balls before placing in the fridge for 5 minutes until the chocolate has set.
  • Energy with a tea or coffee 😉
