Delicious Spiced Chickpeas recipe
Ridiculously quick and absolutely stunning. These chickpeas go beautifully with almost anything. They are a great source of carbs and protein.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp avocado oil or oil of choice
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 400 g tin of chickpeas drained
- 2 tsps smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 splash of water
- 1 tsp honey
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet on a medium – low heat. Once hot, add the oil followed by the cumin seeds. Toast for 30 seconds.
- Next, add the chickpeas, smoked paprika, garlic granules and season with a good pinch of salt and pepper. Stir for a further 30 seconds.
- Stir through the tomato puree for 20 seconds then pour in a splash of water and the honey. Continue to stir until the water has evaporated – Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve with sliced avocado, fresh tomatoes and fresh figs – delicious.
