Sticky Salmon Skewers
These salmon skewers are so simple to put together and are absolutely delicious. I like to serve mine with some crispy potatoes and a lovely side salad.

Ingredients
- 500 g Salmon fillet cut into chunks
- 4 tbsps Soy sauce
- 3 tbsps Maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Chinese five spice
- 3 Garlic cloves minced
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnishing
- Fresh red chilli
- Fresh spring onion
- The zest of a lemon
Instructions
- Pre heat the grill to high
- Place the soy sauce, maple syrup, Chinese five spice, minced garlic, green chilli and a pinch of pepper into a bowl. Whisk well.
- Cut the salmon fillet into chunks and place in a large bowl. Pour the marinade over the salmon and carefully mix well. (ideally, allow to marinade for at least 30 minutes)
- Carefully place the salmon chunks onto two skewers until evenly distributed before placing on a foil lined baking tray. Add the remainder of the marinade left in the bowl into a small pan and set aside.
- Grill the salmon for 10-12 minutes turning every 3 minutes until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
- Just before the salmon has finished cooking, place the leftover marinade on a medium heat to reduce the sauce slightly until it is nice and sticky.
- Serve and top with fresh red chilli, spring onion and freshly grated lemon zest.
